There is never a shortage of things to do while in Boulder City. You can visit one of the largest dams in the U.S., enjoy water activities on the lake, ride horses though the desert and even golf on the city’s beautiful golf courses. There is a huge variety of family friendly activities in and around Boulder City.
Hoover Dam
See the biggest concrete structure in the western hemisphere and one of the world's largest dams. There are several tours available for you to explore this massive, complex structure that powers three states including the bright lights of Las Vegas.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area
Lake mead NRA offers a wealth of things to do and places to go year-round - boating, swimming, fishing, hiking and site seeing. Established October 8, 1964.

Horseback Riding
Enjoy hours of horseback riding through this unique desert landscape. Whether you are an experienced veteran or an eager beginner, horseback riding is a great way to spend the day.

If riding horses is not your style there are also miles of world-class mountain bike and hiking trails that surround Lake Mead.
Golf
Boulder City offers two quality golf courses for you to play on. The Boulder City Golf Course was voted "Best Bargain Course in Southern Nevada" three years in a row by Vegas Golfer Magazine and was awarded the Vegas Golfer Fairway Award. This 18-hole course offers a large clubhouse, a pro shop, and a bar and grill.

Big Horn Sheep
Just across the street, dozens of desert big horn sheep feed and frolic in Hemenway Park every day. The big horn sheep is the state animal for Nevada and are very important to the community. They are a great site to see and many big tour buses stop at the park for people to get out and take pictures. Many people also like to have weddings at the park because of the sheep.
